This South Haven, Michigan project, completed in May 2022, features two updated bathrooms. The primary space includes a dual-sink vanity with a light blue-grey finish and a white marble countertop. The shower area is enclosed by glass and features white subway tiles, a built-in bench, and a window. White and grey patterned floor tiles complete the room.

The second bathroom showcases a single-sink vanity in a muted green, topped with a light-colored, veined stone. A white scalloped mirror is flanked by two brass wall sconces, complementing the room's warm palette. Jennifer Peterson led the design for this project.

About the studio

Two sisters, one studio

Jennifer Peterson founded J. Peterson Design in 2008 and leads our work in Chicago and Southwest Michigan. Her sister, Jill Kearns, leads the Atlanta studio. Together, we design homes that feel considered and beautiful, but also comfortable, functional, and personal to the people who live in them.

Although we work in different cities, we operate as one studio. We talk through plans, share ideas, question each other, and bring another experienced set of eyes to the decisions that matter. Being sisters makes that collaboration especially natural — there is a shorthand, an honesty, and a shared standard that has been there long before the studio.
