Bathroom Design in Holland

Our Bath Design service creates detailed plans for new or renovated bathrooms. We design the layout, select all materials, and document the construction details for your contractor.

What we do

Our process begins with a design consultation to understand your goals for the space. We then present your design, including floor plans and elevations. Construction documents detail the plumbing locations and electrical needs. Material selections cover everything from tile and fixtures to lighting and paint colors. We conduct jobsite inspections to ensure the design is built as intended, and we assist with finishing touches like accessories.

Who it suits

This service is for homeowners in Chicago, Southwest Michigan, and Atlanta. It suits renovations of existing bathrooms in historic homes or new construction primary bathrooms, guest bathrooms, and powder rooms.

In Holland

Homes in Holland

Holland homeowners often live in 1950s ranch homes in areas like the Waukazoo Woods neighborhood, where Kitchen Design can address original layouts with smaller, closed-off cooking spaces. Many homes in the Macatawa Park area are 1920s cottages, where Bathroom Design frequently updates compact original bathrooms. We also see 1990s two-story homes in subdivisions off US-31, which often have primary bathrooms with separate, smaller rooms that we combine for a more open feel. Our Furnishing & Styling service helps integrate new pieces with existing architecture in these varied home styles.

What homeowners in Holland ask for

Homeowners in Holland often seek Kitchen Design for their 1950s ranch homes, aiming to open up original galley kitchens to adjacent living areas. Many 1920s cottages in the Macatawa Park area benefit from Bathroom Design to modernize compact spaces. We frequently undertake Full-Home Design for 1990s homes off US-31, addressing layouts that no longer suit contemporary living. Basement Remodel projects are also common in these homes to create additional functional living space.

Bathroom Design work from the studio

About the studio

Two sisters, one studio

Jennifer Peterson founded J. Peterson Design in 2008 and leads our work in Chicago and Southwest Michigan. Her sister, Jill Kearns, leads the Atlanta studio. Together, we design homes that feel considered and beautiful, but also comfortable, functional, and personal to the people who live in them.

Although we work in different cities, we operate as one studio. We talk through plans, share ideas, question each other, and bring another experienced set of eyes to the decisions that matter. Being sisters makes that collaboration especially natural — there is a shorthand, an honesty, and a shared standard that has been there long before the studio.
