“I was seeking an interior designer to help me update the look in our main family room living area. When looking up designers in the area on Houzz, I was immediately drawn to Jen Peterson's style. I knew I needed all new furniture, and wanted to soften the heavy oak feel in my house, but I did not know where to start. Jen helped me to discover what my own sense of style was, and was able to create an entire new and cozy feel in my very outdated room. I had a fairly tight budget, and I tended to always go with the least expensive route. In the end, she kept me under budget which thrilled me, but her initial advice to invest in a couple of key, top quality classic pieces at the beginning was the absolute best decision in the whole process. I am very indecisive, and in the initial stages, I was very quick to know what I didn't want but had a very difficult time articulating what I wanted. She very quickly picked up on what I going for by picking a variety of pieces to compare and contrast. Communication throughout the project was fantastic, and on a couple of occasions, we met at Crate & Barrel and Pottery Barn to look at things in person. I'm in love with my new room, and look forward to every opportunity to sit with the whole family and watch a TV show together!”
